Everybody loves gear, right? Well, we are no exception. We are crazy about gear. We constantly search for the latest and greatest gear. So it was probably inevitable that after three bone-chilling ski seasons in New England, we found a way to stay warmer on the slopes.
It was on this one particularly cold, wet and windy day when the company's founder, Jaime Philp, was skiing in New Hampshire that inspiration struck. We're sure you're thinking, "aren't most days in New England cold and windy?" True, but on this day more than a foot of fresh snow fell on Southern New England making it a rare and awesome powder day. Wind sailed through her neck gaiter, which had turned into a block of ice by the third run of the day. The concept of Powderfish was born.
Our mission: To give our customers a superior-quality neck gaiter that blocks wind, sheds snow and is highly breathable. No matter what winter sport has you hooked, we think everyone needs extra protection from the harsh winter elements.
Jaime realized there was a need for a neck gaiter that was well-designed, functional and looked darn good. She believe in using fabrics that are effective and fashionable.
